6 Surefire Ways to Drive and Increase Traffic on Your Blog

November 20, 2022 0
Blogging: Once you've created the blog you really wanted, the next thing you want people to appreciate is your effort. Even I had the same feeling when I created my blog.

I want my articles to get noticed, can't wait to see how many likes I receive on Facebook, Twitter, and other social networking sites. Every comment excites me.

But we have to wait and think about why people visit our blog? What do we offer more or differently? Remember it takes more effort to grow and spread your blog than it does to create it.

I will discuss some points which really helped me to increase my blog traffic.

Traffic on Your Blog

Tips and Tricks 6 Ways to Increase Blog Traffic

1In-article links

This gives gravity to your article. There must be some unfamiliar terms or points where the reader will want to have detailed insights. Separate links will engage your readers to stay longer on your blog.

This is not the amount your readers are expecting. New and more information is systematically organized, which will attract attention to your blog.

2. Use a 'hub' or 'compile page'

This is a great way to link your articles. It ties your articles together into clear, easy-to-read collections. Let's say you're a financial consultant with your own blog, then a hub like 'Online backup plan' can bundle important plans and strategies into separate posts and links adding a short description to each post.

This gives visitors the option to jump to any link that suits their purpose. This compilation process has helped my readers to refer to any post they need or want to read at any time.

3. Add related articles

It is great to write quality and informative articles. But what if your readers are hungry for more information and content? Point them to similar links and related articles.

This will give your readers a reason to come back to your blog.

4. Build your blog community

If you want more followers for your blog, consider some strategies.

Ask a question. Keep the sentences open in the conclusion. This works when you write something that has a multi-dimensional view. For example, if you are writing about changing religious sentiments, then some indirect questions will entice readers to comment.
Respond to comments. A simple thank you will fail.

If your readers make an effort to read your articles and comments then entertain your readers more by creating an interactive comments section.

The interactive comment section always attracts more comments from viewers.

Now if commenting on your articles is a complicated process, chances are nothing will be a waste of time. My point is, if your reader has to sign up for a comment then the attitude is probably to forget about it. Make it easy for your readers.

If they feel the instinct to comment there should be no process bottleneck. Don't worry about spam, install spam detection software instead.

5. Use the sidebar

An organized blog design gives readers space to browse or explore the blog. Include options like 'categories', 'top posts', and 'latest posts'.
This is a great way to offer your readers options for exploring your blog. They may even recommend your blog to friends.

6. Make use of excerpts on the home page

On the home page of the blog, you will get two options.

Display all content on the home page
Display excerpts with links to the entire post
The second option is the smart choice. Let me explain why. If a visitor visits your home page to read your latest post then either option is working fine. But if visitors land on your site via search engines or related links, then if one article captures the entire page, there is a high probability of losing a potential client.

That's because certain articles may not interest him. But if the article is listed in the form of a quote then the visitor has the option to explore the post and refer to the link he is looking for. So you see the advantage of organizing your content in excerpts.

I understand the struggles and hopes of a blogger. So I advise you to concentrate on your content to give your readers a good read. Along with that, keep in mind the following six steps that can set your blog on the right path to success.

Success doesn't come overnight. Keep writing quality and well-informed articles and choose the right steps wisely for higher traffic on your blog. I hope you agree with whatever I've mentioned as per my own blogging experience.
